Filmfare Best Villain Awards are given to the Bollywood actor or actress who excels in a villainous role. Winners are listed below, followed by the name of the film for which they won.

- 2001 Akshay Kumar -- (Ajnabee)
- 2000 Sunil Shetty -- (Dhadkan)
- 1999 Ashutosh Rana -- (Sangharsh)
- 1998 Ashutosh Rana -- (Dushman)
- 1997 Kajol -- (Gupt)
- 1996 Arbaaz Khan -- (Daraar)
- 1995 Mithun -- (Jallad)
- 1994 Shahrukh Khan -- (Anjaam)
- 1993 Paresh Rawal -- (Sir)
- 1992 Nana Patekar -- (Angaar)
- 1991 Sadashiv Amrapurkar -- (Sadak)
As this award was instituted in 1991, it could not be given to some of the biggest, baddest screen villains in Bollywood history:
- Amjad Khan for the evil dacoit Gabbar Singh in Sholay (1975)
- Pran (1950s and 1960s) and Prem Chopra (1970s and 1980s) played heavies in many movies.
- Amrish Puri, as well as many other villain roles, portrayed the villainous Mogambo in Mr. India (1987). He was known for the phrase "Mogambo is happy".
