Joachim Kroll
Joachim Kroll (April 17, 1933 - July 1, 1991) was an German serial killer and cannibal. He was also known as the Ruhr Cannibal (Ruhrkannibale), and the Duisburg Man-Eater (Duisburger Menschenfresser). Over the course of his criminal career, he murdered at least 14 men (and ate some of them).
 Joachim Kroll
Born as the son of a miner in Hindenburg, a town in Nordschlesien, formerly eastern Germany, Kroll grew up as the last of eight children. He was a weakling und a bedwetter since this time and got a minimal education. (Later the psychiatrists found out an intelligence quotient of 76 points).
Kroll emigrated with his parents to North Rhine-Westphalia. In 1955, living with his father in Bottrop, he began to murder after the death of his mother. Around 1960 Kroll came to Duisburg, to work as a toilet server for Mannesmann. After this he worked for Thyssen Industries and go to Laar, a district of Duisburg. In this time he had begun to murder again. 1965 he observed a couple in the act and tried, to kill the man, to rape the woman - but they escaped. Also a second trail, to kill a little girl in a meadow failed, because some workers arrived in going at home. But the next trails had success.
Ten years later, in 1976 Kroll was arrested after killing a little girl named Marion Kettner. He had kidnapped the child, who was a girl of his neighbourhoud. As officers went from house to house, a neighbour talked about a stopping of the waste-pipe. To this report, they went up to Krolls flat and found the body of the girl cut up: some parts were in the fridge, a hand was cooking in a soup. Ans the bowels were, what stopped the waste-pipe.
Kroll was immediately arrested. In 1979 the trial against this serial was opened and 1982 he was sentenced to nine times lifelong. In 1991 he died.
